Hello everybody.  AOD and DR composer here.

My work will be featured in an upcoming videogame music podcast, and I will - of course - take the opportunity to shine as much light on Irontower as I possibly can.  My question to all of you is: if you had to choose 2-3 of your favorite AOD or DR tracks, what would they be?  I'm having a hard time deciding, being that I have some form of attachment to all of them.  So, I ask you, our brutally-honest forum-dwellers!  Let it rip!

Official links are these:
https://soundcloud.com/osiginon/sets/dungeon-rats
https://soundcloud.com/osiginon/sets/age-of-decadence
But I've been using these:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Otg8xVMNT4U (AoD)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMW0mR_gUoE (DR)
IMO these are the best of the best:

1. In a Dead World - definitely the best (used in the official trailer)
2. City Teron
3. Imperial guards simple
4. Location ancient
5. Imperial guards
6. City Ganezzar 2
7. Combat 4 (DR)
8. Civil Ambient

So if I had to choose now I would choose first three above.

Hi, Osiginon!
I would choose "Caves (combat)" of the DR, and "Daratan ambient" and "Ghosts of Children Playing' of the AoD.

Hi Osiginon.

My favorites are:
-In a Dead World. I even made this some time ago:
(click to show/hide)
- A festival for Lonely Spirits. So "zen", it reminds me one of the first Witcher track (also made a vynil of this one, my first attempt
-Horns and drums of the "The Imperial Guards" track are really immersive
- "House of the Fallen" is nice too

Hi! Glad to see people caring about player's opinions, really.

To be honest, 'twas pretty easy to select the absolute favourites

-Imperial Guards track (AoD)
-Location Temple (AoD) (BTW, it's so good I'd love to hear an extended mix)
-Army Combat (DR)

Thank  you for the suggestions.  And Goral, to be clear: by Combat 4 (DR), do you mean the track that plays during the final battle?

It's this one (it's from AoD not DR, my bad):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Otg8xVMNT4U#t=1h14m40s

But it's really hard to tell which one is the best and there are better tracks than this one IMO.

Hi!

I believe "In a Dead World" was composed by a different person..

I can't convince myself to pick "the best" ones purely quality-wise.
I quite enjoy "event the ritual" and "location temple".

Btw, are there any plans for a lossless release?

"In a Dead World" was composed by Lind Erebros.  And...it seems to be everyone's favorite track. Lol.  Which is totally fair, because it is really, really good and truly laid the foundation for the rest of the OST.  As for a lossless release, I have been meaning to post a free link for anyone to download, but have just not gotten around to it (sorry!).  I will try my best to do this.

Owing: There is not an "extended" mix of Location Temple.  That is the length.  The actual "Temple" track was a really, really long track (about 9 minutes or so) that was cut into several sections, each used as different "location" tracks.

AbounI:  You made a vinyl of "A Festival for Lonely Spirits"?  That is so cool!  I am a hoarder of records, so this really appeals to me.

No, just a 7" (picture single sided) of the main theme  Wink

Thus we shall hold thee to thy promise Wink
In all seriousness though, I'd buy the full lossless soundtrack even if it was released as a DLC or as a standalone album (on bandcamp or some such).

You guys should sell the soundtrack somewhere (iTunes, etc.). It would be foolish not tying to sell it.

Thank you everyone!  The show will be recorded this Friday (I'll let you know the release date as soon as I know).  Feel free to keep the conversation going, if you so desire.
