Не знаю, баг это или фича, но сейчас начальный инвентарь предыстории претора не чувствителен к выбранной комбинации боевых навыков: при любом раскладе персонаж получает железный гладий, стальной кинжал и почему-то два щита, один даратанский, и один обычный. Может быть разумно изменить в CE это так, чтобы основное оружие соответствовало выбранным навыкам, как у наемника, например.

Ну, он вероятно в char_creation.cs.dso, см. скриншот. Ты пробовал этот файл править? Есть инструменты для этого? И где хранятся вызываемые в скриптах методы, они захардкодены или в других скриптовых файлах лежат?

Ага, вижу. Для претора проверка похоже не выполняется вообще:
if (%prof != 0 && %prof != 6 && %prof != 5)
return;
0, 5, 6 - это наемник, ассассин и бродяга. Для всех остальных сразу выход из метода. То есть в случае с претором это не баг, а фича?

Вряд ли - он нужен для того, чтобы основное оружие не получили те профессии, которым оно не положено. А вот претора добавить можно, но с ним другая проблема: ему по статусу положено железное оружие, а скрипт выдает только бронзовое. Можно подумать дописать соответствующий код в какой-нибудь из начальных преторских скриптов.
Кстати, попробовал воспроизвести тот старый баг с выдачей оружия для наемника - не получилось. Выставил копье 2, блок и КУ 3, ремесло 3, и игра правильно сгенерила ему копье и щит. У ассассина тоже все в порядке, так что этот баг исправлен уже.

Installation (thanks to Sunfire for the description):
0) Make a copy of original file scripts.aod in the game dir to any other place.
1) Download the archive.
2) Unpack it to the ./mods/ folder in the game dir.
3) Copy the scripts.aod from the ./AlternateCombatBalance/scripts/ sub-folder and overwrite the original one.
The game does not support .dat files replacement, which in this case was needed to increase the max AP from armors, so that's why I had to make it an scripts.aod file replacement.

didnt seem to work for me, still about 10 ap. i put everything in mods folder as instructed and new game. (also could load previous game?)
