I've been playing it for two days - I would say it's good. I agree with people saying it's closer in climate to FO1 than FO2. I would say that it is more dystopian, at least so far.

Anyone have positive experiences or recommendations on the games above?

NEO Scavenger has the most brilliant inventory system I've ever encountered and a very innovative use of its skill system. There are pacing issues and problems with the distribution of story-relevant locations, but certainly worth several playthroughs.

FTL is brilliantly designed. The various weapon types (laser, beam, missile, bomb, ballistic) and defense types (engine, shield, drone, stealth) allow for qualitatively different playstyles and interesting synergies. Different sub-systems and the different ship types further open tactical possibilities. A game where most achievements are worth exploring as they relate to exploring the mechanical diversity within the game.

Underrail is actually more Fallout 3 than Fallout 3 or 4.
Shadowrun has a nice story and smosphere.
Valkyria Chronicles are always listed among the best 10 tRPGs.
I've installed Ex:Con but haven't played it much yet, people say it's a lot C&C and epic adventures.
Wasteland 2 The-Final-Latest-Director's-Cut is said to be good.
Legend Of Grimrock and Lords of Xulima are nice dungeon crawlers.

Yeah, Witcher 3 is the king! There is no point to argue, this game is excellent! I do not like fantasy at all, but Witcher is an example of true masterpiece.

Underrail's "good rating to bad rating" ratio is the best of any on that list other than Witcher 3, so it's natural that it'd beat AoD in a popularity contest.

It's a better game anyways tbh.  Much better character system that doesn't fall to the metagamey issues that AoD does (or at least not as badly, it is dumb that Underrail doesn't cap skills to their maximum "effective" value, leading to lots of wasted points if you don't know that above 110 in a speech skill and 130 in hack/lockpicking are pointless), and much more of a game in place than "build your character, click through to see how it does" unlike AoD.

For me from `12-16

1. Fallout 1.5 - Enjoyed it alot
2. Underrail - Enjoyed it but a bit too much trash mobs
3/4. Wasteland 2 - Enjoyed but became tedious
4/3. AOD/ DG rats - Enjoyed but too much meta gaming
5. Serpent in the staglands - Neat concept and good music, something off about the gameplay though.

6. Shadowrun returns- Crap and Linear
7. Dead state- Neat idea but extremely poorly executed
8. POE 1- Didn't like it at all, crap story tryhard writing which was also crap and crap encounters.
9.Fallout 4- only played for like an hour before refunding on steam, complete crap.
