While more of a Codexian topic, I feared that such a discussion of the subject would quickly slide into the realm of retardation. Here, I hope for a more enlightened discussion of the series of events that lead to the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series spiral down the drain, and the betrayal at the hands of Robert Altman.

Going off of memory decades old, Our story begins with the creation of Zenimax, as the successes of Bethesda inspired Weaver (CEO and full stockholder of Bethesda) to spread outside the realm of gaming. Weaver brought in Robert Altman as co-owner. Bethesda was tucked in under the umbrella of Zenimax.

Not too long thereafter, long story short, Weaver found himself stabbed in the back by Altman. Weaver filed a lawsuit for breach of contract. However, the need for evidence spurred him to enter the Bethesda/Zenimax campus to download as much as he could for the trial. Not to be outdone, Altman, filed a counter-suit, claiming that Weaver was trespassing. Weaver, tired of bullshit, basically said "Fuck it", settled for nothing, and left to focus his attention elsewhere. Thus beginning the "Age of Decline" (), bringing us the "masterpieces" known as Oblivion and Fallout 3.

Edit: Does anyone have any more information? Or thoughts?

Maybe eventually he'll comeback to gaming one day.
