Ammo Weight
(1/1)
PAz:
If you ever picked a full rifle or handgun magazine you should notice is heavy as hell, specially a rifle magazine.
For example.
An unloaded Glock 17 weights just 625 g/ 22.04 oz and a fully loaded Glock 17 weights 905 g / 31.93 oz. This makes for a very light, but extremely durable firearm. The Glock 17 comes in 9X19 caliber and has a safe action system. Magazine capacity of the Glock 17 comes standard with 17 rounds, with optional magazine capacity of either a 19 round magazine or a 33 round magazine.
So (910-710)/17=11.7g each bullet of 9x19mm parabellum bullet.

DrunkZombie:
Yes ammo is heavy. It was a gameplay decision by them for it not to have weight.
Caidoz:
I actually think adding ammo weight might be a good idea for hardcore/iron man, if it weren't a total pain in the butt to do. Would add more of a planning element to looting and scavenging.
DrunkZombie:
I don't know if it is worth the effort. I never had much ammo, never had people carry more than 50 rounds at most and rarely used more than 10 to 20 in a firefight. I guess if it was super easy to do it would be nice.
