Hey I am enjoying the game so far, but there are a few things that needs balancing. 1) Day 16 and I've got like 530 food, and use about 36 per day. That's 2 weeks worth. I have no food production and we are still walking. This really takes the tension out of the game, some near starvation would be a challange. Morale is way too easy to boost with luxury items, most are happy or content, and I have still plenty of stuff left to bribe them with. No tension/challange there either. This makes food/morale buildings/upgrades redundant.
2) Around day 10 the zombies are too easy. With better stats and better gear they pose no challange at all. Walk up behind one and bash it with a sledgehammer and finito. Even when they are many they are way too easy to kill, and pose little to no danger (at walking distance from shelter). They are simply objects in the way, and killing them is getting to be a bit of a grind. There needs to be more, and stronger, more dangerous zombies the further out you go. Human enemies are good so far. Thanks, and keep up the good work.

Zombies themselves aren't going to be changing - they're not meant to be particularly threatening, and they definitely don't get stronger over time.  Adding more zombies to levels might be an idea, but it would have to be a post-release update.

Yes, that sounds good. But how about the overabundance of food and morale?

Balance is still being tweaked.  It is much better now than it was before.

Man I wish I had your problems. I can't seem to find enough food to keep people alive.

Ha ha  Smile Just go out with 4ppl as much as possible, and let the rest build, and do jobs. I've got heaps of everything. The only things that are a bit tight are ammo, meds and parts, wich i wish was true for the rest. But I have not got a car yet, so fuel might get tight. Now i can feed the generator for 10 days. Too easy.

What day are you on?  As the days continue and there are less places to loot, you may start dipping into your reserves.  Escpecially once you have 30+ allies.

Must be an easy fix for future patches, upgrades, games. Just have an option at start called "greedy shelter" +100% food, morale and fuel consumption. Or perhaps it should be called incompetent Davis, or you get dunce instead of name Grin

As stated above, I am at day 16. But only have like 13 ppl 4 horses 1 dog.  30 allies? Jeez, well that makes a difference. I've met some neutral ppl, but could not bring them back.

Only day 16?  You have months to go my friend.  Early on it is fairly easy to have a surplus of food.  Just wait until you have tons of allies and it takes all day to loot one area.  Your surplus will start dwindling

Got 41 people at my shelter, 4 horses, 2 dogs. Eat about 100 food a day.

Need 10 survival to find honey or nut harvest sites to keep them all fed.

Did you recruit all of them normally or use the console?  What day are you on?  Just curious how long it takes people to do that.  Although playing with map knowledge/spoiler map and without map knowledge will be different, it would be good to know how long it takes if someone uses a guide.

If you have the fishing pole, with it in inventory, you need to travel to a fishing spot on the map and spend time there.  Same with the harvesting locations.  When they popup on the map, spend time there until you get something.

Normally, ran out of places to explore/loot at around day 35, Craig & Karen, Sir Charlston are locked at days 37 and 38 so have to wait until then. Ford & the Gang only show up at around day 56 or so.

Though "normally" for someone who's played through the game from start to running out of content about 8 times. Consider this to be the theoretical maximum.

Oh right, Doug was killed. 40 people.

The console? The preacher and the girl, Max and Vic showed up by themselves. Fund one sobbing girl with a gun that I took back. Can't remember the others. I had them(13 ppl total) and a dog about day 13. Now day 16 and just got 4 horses.

Sorry, was talking to veryinky.  He has sometimes used console cheats to help with testing.

Do you wait for it to finish on its own or do you stop it yourself?  You need to let if run and have several game hours pass to get anything.  This takes about 5 sec of waiting after you click yes.

Would be nice if apple harvesting was gradual like fishing.
