Do the filler characters need to be finalized before the end of may or just in? Because I wanted to place mine in Maadoran so I was waiting to first see what the palce is like in order to have a better idea where exactly to place him.
Just in.

OK then, I'll start work on mine.

Now, if you recall, we had plans to port the arena demo to the new engine and combat system, add more fights and release it as a stand-alone, 5-dollar game, but then decided against it.
Why?
I was never comfortable with the idea of selling something that was free before, even if upgraded and expanded.

Your choice, but even I would buy it, for my PC or Pad. It would be awesome for playing around with builds or just relaxing with it. I also see a big pay off for you guys, compared to investment. You also have plenty of combat masochists that can test it...

7$ steam price would get you 4$ for a single copy and if you could get into humble bundle... You could use those funds for funding a sequel. So both sides gain.

When I was checking as always your monthly updates, this thing with memory made me thinking - what are sys requirments now? Because these http://www.irontowerstudio.com/forum/index.php/topic,97.30.html are slightly outdated, I afraid...

What system requirements do I need to have to play the Age Of Decadence?

"Torque3D system requirements are Pentium III 2000+, 512+ MB RAM. About the graphics card, the actual version of AoD worked fine on 256+ Mb ones. We'll be able to be more precise about this before release."

It runs smoothly on my good old laptop, 2x1.8 Ghz, 2 Gb RAM, 256 Mb vcard (integrated). However, I need to set the lowest graphics settings.

Uh-oh, "Shader 3.0 supported" - is it about the latest version of T3D? I hope it still runs ok on my laptop. Otherwise I'll need to buy a new one Smile

No, not that latest, so if you can run R3, you should be able to run R4 and the full game.

That's a great news, any games requiring Shaders 3.0, incl. modern 2D platfomers, fail to start on this laptop.

I'll try and write a good NPC, and if I come up with something I'll pay.   Smile

I've always thought you should revamp the combat demo and integrate it with the regular game demo.  And maybe put it in the regular game somewhere, too, but with some special prizes or easter eggs.

Yeah. VD really likes to make people feel special. Like that running scene after killing Carinas.  lol

For AoD, I think a particularly gruesome death scene of some sort would qualify as "special prizes and easter eggs."  Like killing the Overseer at the end of Fallout.

The base memory load-out is about 1.5GB, so ten reloads will push it to 2GB.

Another random question about this.   Is the 1.5GB base load out including Graphics memory ?
