Not sure how many people are aware of this Wizardry remake, so I figured I'd share a bit about it since I started playing it recently. The "Saga" was released for PS1, Sega CD, and Windows 95 back in 1997 only in Japan. Well I did some digging recently about it, because I wanted to play something like Wizardry and it turns out that someone translated about 95% of the Win 95 version to English (the only thing not translated are a couple of system messages), so the game is fully playable.

It contains Wizardry 1-2-3, mouse navigation, sprite monsters, bitmap engine, and best of all an AUTOMAP!!! Automap is the big one for me since that was the main reason I could never get in to Wiz 6 and bellow, and offcourse mouse/keyboard combo make it a breeze to play as well. To get it to work, you'll need to "acquire" the cd of the game, download the translation patch, the offical game patch, and install a certain font, it's not much work at all and I can post intructions if some of you are interested in playing this.

I was going to upload some screens, but it said "upload box full" or something like that, so here are mobygames screens:

Check your pm!

Here are the instructions and files needed once you have the game installed:

1.) Go here: http://twpa.net/twpa/llylsaga/download.html

2.) Download and install the Llylgamyn Saga 1.10 patch.

3.) Dowload LSFull-Eng Release 1 and extract it anywhere. Install the included "llylsaga" font file first, then run the "LSFull-rel1.exe", select game directory and click apply.

4.) You'll need to download d3drm.dll ,which you can get here: http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/D/d3drm.dll/5.1.2600.0/download.html ,just paste it in your Wizardry directory.

5.) Now run LlylSaga-Eng.exe in your Wizardry directory (I selected win 98 compabilility under it's properties and it runs perfectly in Win Vista).
Once the game opens click on messages tab and switch them all to english, thats it, enjoy.

No problemo. Sure beats Skyrimming around. Approve

Do post how things go for you if you play it soon, the only Wizardry I've played before was #8 and little bit of #7, and so far this is kicking my ass,
you can only save in town so you have to really be carefull in the dungeon because resurrection costs so damn much.
Plus I was reading that your characters can get lost (as in just disappear with no hope of return), which sounds terrible and cruel (does someone know how that works?)

You mean, you're looking for Wizardry 7 or 8?

Apologies for the thread necromancy, but I have been looking for the PC version of Llylgamyn Saga/New Age of Llylgamyn with no luck. This is one of very few threads I have seen anywhere online talking about it, but I have had no luck finding the game online at any auction site or download site of any kind. Not even GOG has had any luck getting the nitwits in Japan to re-release these games, but I would really like to get ahold of these buggers.

What a shame, I was intending to share it via torrents, but I forgot to and lost it.
