Running it through VirusTotal, will post link when completed...

EDIT: Also browsed through the archive contents, looks exactly like an old DOS title file-structure.  MalwareBytes/Avast! says the files are clean, and they look legit as well.  VT link forthcoming.

EDIT2: Here's the game's Readme, seems to be dated back in '98.  Treachery is afoot!

Oh my goodness.

This...is...this...is...actually a really good game. Very very close to Wizardry 6.

Presentation-wise, it is also quite impressive for what seems to be a one-man venture, but I am guessing he had friends making artwork and music for him?

Why didn't any retrogaming website mention this? Why hasn't GoG uploaded it? Somebody made a beta in 1996 and it was forgotten?

It has not been forgotten. Cleve is still working on this for 15 years. Or at least he claims so. All I see him doing lately is trolling RPGCodex and not giving any straight answers for anything related to Grimoire.

I remember when I thought he was an actual developer. I used to check the thread each week, then I realised he isn't actually working on a game.

Oh ok, so this thread is another RPG Codex export. Smile I understand.

I am sure he is joking, if he says he is working on a game for 15 years. If you don't think this developer is joking, I have a bridge to sell to you.

He's not joking. He's trolling. And he should have release the damn game years ago even in that beta stage because it's actually pretty decent.

Dude, it's not even that anymore. Beta? Gamma? Don't make me laugh. He's been testing for so long it's cleared the entire Greek alphabet. Grimoire is in ALEPH testing.

For those playing along at home, there's a math joke hidden INSIDE that semiotics joke. If you get it, you're a nerd twice over!

So this is a George Broussard style hobby project?

No, because Duke Nukem Forever is going to be released.
