I`ve reinstalled my system (MS Win XP), reinstalled AoD R3 and i have strange issue.

When i run AoD i see black screen but then it`s my pulpit again. But the process is still active, it uses my CPU and is constantly adding new records to console log (one time it had over 200 MB).

I`ve reduced console.txt file, because it had tons of repetitive records and was way too big.

Have you installed the video drivers? Do other games run ok?

I'm not one of the developers, but it seems to me, that AoD can't find a display device. Of course that does not explain why it keeps running and spams the log...

I`ve installed video drivers and DirectX 9.0c.

Caesar 3 runs all right. I`ve no other games installed.

Looks like something is wrong with your video card drivers. What video card do you have?

I remember that were threads in this forum section called "It doesn't even start" and "Black screen" where people described very similar issues and solved them. Check them out, this and this.

I've been getting a odd crash with Bendidoros fight lately.

Anytime when he throws his first ranged weapon (chakram) and I dodge it, the game will freeze and crash. If the first ranged attack does hit then I can dodge the rest of them without a problem.

Specs:
Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit
Intel Core Duo 2.66GHz
8GB DDR2
Geforce 8800 GT

Console.log has the following at the end.

APM Test: Bendidoros -> Elduderino
APM Test: Weapon used: Chakram (172)
APM Test: Hit failed.
APM Test: Defense used: dodge.
APM Test: Passive defensive effect scored: no.
APM Test: Projectile angle mistake: -3 degree(s).
APM Test: Attack #30 is added.

Bendidoros starts his throw animation and then the game will freeze IF I dodge it on the first throw. The chakram weapon model won't show up on him during this, if it hits then the weapon model will show up and display properly.

Only happens with Bendidoros and his chakrams, other ranged weapons work fine on the first time dodge (With the exception of flying in strange directions now and then).

This should be fixed now, but I can't release a patch. Too many things have changed.
Also for this reason I'm going to lock the thread. We're far from R3 codebase now, so bug reports won't help anymore.
