Release date?
Anywhere from late Oct to mid Nov.  The game is almost ready: fully playable from start to finish, all the content is in, we need 5-6 weeks for polishing and extra art assets (missing portraits, ending slides art, etc).

Don't you mean December 2012?

I wonder when this type of tech is used to convert celeb photos to nudies.

Hi,

I mainly do the updates on the Temple+ page on ModDB and the Codex.

http://www.moddb.com/mods/temple1

(the ModDB link you posted above was to the general ToEE page on ModDB, which doesn't feature all Temple+ news)

I think it's fairly stable at this point. I try to address any crash/bug reports immediately at any rate. There's no such thing as 100% bug free though Wink New updates are still in the works but they mainly revolve around adding the new Prestige Classes now.

Oh, another one:

The Void of Hope

Has a double meaning even!

Has there been a 'suggestion for names' thread yet? My take:

The Crawl to Sagittarius

Yep, that's ToEE =/

You might try posting over at Co8.org, those guys are pretty cool about helping people out with stuff. Sometimes they even ask for your save files and troubleshoot from there.

I already did and i was not the only one with this bug. Some other dude had sent them his saves months ago and  to this day we are awaiting a reply.

TOEE is so poorly written that even after a decade of testing and patching it still has game breaking bugs.

I will probably start over some day but this time i will make lots of backup saves in different locations.

... several years pass ...
... attempts at obtaining the source code fail ...
... out of desperation, modders dive into hacking the DLL ........

Success!

I'm happy to report that I've been able to fix all the crash issues affecting the saves I could find. (not sure yours was among them, though Tongue)

This is part of TemplePlus, an engine enhancement mod project I and Pugmeister (DarkStorm) are working on. It's currently in Beta, due out the end of this month.

If anyone runs into anything of the sort and has a savegame that "reliably" demonstrates crashes or save corruption, please send it my way.

If you just want to support VD you can always order some more copies of AoD on BMT, and grab CS at release or early access.

I surmise he might have clung to the 4th post in this thread made by Vince  Tongue

Did you just have an avalanche of refunds or is the Steamspy data merely showing statistical fluctuations?

Congrats!
Are we going to see an Ehanced Edition next year?

That's probably true to some extent.

Steamcharts is fun.

See the spike in players on release.  I also wonder how many people played the initial betas that were before Steam and never bothered to grab a steam key.

Yes, I had a blast with Teron back then but am waiting for the full game. Salute to the betatesters, but you only get to play the game for the first time once.
14  RPG / The Age of Decadence / Re: The Future of AoD "franchise" on: November 07, 2014, 05:58:57 am

Too many outcomes. I suppose we can pick one and say that that's what happened but it kinda dismisses everything you did in the first game. What if you sided with Meru and brought the Gods back and then the sequel says that Meru was killed and Gaelius rules supreme?

Vince, it is the time for you to innovate and create the first Quantum Mechanical RPG.
15  RPG / The Age of Decadence / Re: AoD August update on: September 20, 2014, 01:03:40 am
Haven't we been over this? Brutal combat is part of the core design, because it reflects the harshness of the game world. Unless Vince has changed that position for teh moneyz (aka broader audience), that's end of story.

(not that I mind an easy difficulty, just restating what was said in the past)
