Well drat, extended idling hiatus sure sneaks on you nice.
Might be a bit too early to ask but how doomed is the gameworld going to be exactly? Real-life disasters have shown that even when order exists outside the ground zero, the help that might come is not always helpfull. The relief aid on Katrina and the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake have more prominent examples, such as shipping container full of teddy bears sent to Sri Lanka. The will is good but you really can't rebuild life with a Care Bear Stare alone. If it's a all-gone scenario, then having a chance to "enjoy" external aid is near null. With the epidemic isolated to specific region / continent, the possibility of a airdrop of supplies could be there. But are you a bad dude enough to trek for miles, loose survivors and risk certain death for a container full of...baby diapers?
Another thing I'm keen on is how and if the enviroment plays a role. Any risks from decay hitting industrial structures? Bhopal disaster would be overkill but say, finding group of survivors who are ill, abusing those hard earned points in medic/doctor/cleric skills to determine lead poisoning and finally pinpointing the origin to a nearby water supply. Treatment demands specialised meds and raiding an infested hospital is a good way get killed so it's the time for the horrible and much hyped burden of choice on how to proceed onwards.

I wonder if turn based is the right approach in this case, especialy if the main focus is on survival aspect. It certianly makes a lot more sense from a gameplay stand point to run from a bunch of zombies in real time then take turns and wait for 20 zombies to make their moves to accomplish the same thing. Either way the project looks interesting and ITS is certianly becoming the place to watch in the rpg world, congrats guys.

So judging by the emphasis on party, I take it it will be impossible to play the game solo?
Do you start out alone?

^^ Yes, you start out with one pc you generate. Kind of like Baldurs Gate and Fallout I guess.

Can you tell us more about the interaction of you and other NPC's and party members ?
Will you only be able to give your party members simple commands and change their gear or you could make conversations in which they can give you vital hints (the food it that way
) and even start romances (not with the zombies
) ?

What happens if a zombie bites party member? Is she/he getting infested? Is it curable?
Will there be dog zombies? (sounds funny maybe but it`s serious question)

Really great concept, really keen to hear more about this. I love the zombie survival genre.

I don't think just plain survival is going to be enough to motivate the player once you've clocked a few hours. I'd imagine there are bigger goals in the game, such as finding a way off wherever you are, developing a cure or lessening the threat by killing off the majority of zombies? At what point does the game end?
Zombified animals?
Destructible environments? I'm not expecting actual physics simulation, but things like braking down doors and windows, perhaps being able to collapse buildings (apply dynamite to structural column, fade to black, come back with a destroyed model of house and zombies inside dead).

I think survival can motivate if the situation begins to noticeably deteriorate. Things become more desperate, you race against the clock to survive, etc etc. Which I expect if we're talking about a game dealing with the breakdown of society.

Will there be any timers in the game and if so are there ways to avoid them?
