mmmm... Because they don't have to worry on things such as poly count and texture memory? I don't know, really, just a though...

The portraits look so good and, in my opinion, blend in so well with the interface, it'd be worth it to have them for the most important NPCs even if it the release had to be pushed back for them. They remind me of how I loved the "talking heads" in Fallout and the way they made the characters in that game come alive.

The portraits feel kind of "disconnected", too realistic in style compared to the rest of the game.

Judged by themselves they are obviously very, very good.

I disagree, it worked in many games very well. Fallout for example.. On the main map all models looked basically the same, it wasn't even real 3D. But in dialogue with the talking heads; actually being able to see their face adds a lot more character and personality than just reading plain text.

I only dont like Fengs. Not because it isnt awesome on itself but because the face seems too serene even naive... to much for such a bastard.

But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Holy mother of god!!! Awesome. I was going to about start a thread about it since your remark on the Codex (I was going to suggest Zach could do some fine portraits), but while I was procrastinating someone was working hard. Good stuff.

I find that the procrastinate while somebody else works hard method has a wide variety of applications.

Indeed, very applicable...

Also...holy fucking shit these are nice portraits.

Super P.S.: Is he/she a new permanent team member, or contracted, or something else?

Super P.P.S.: Portraits only for major NPCs I assume?  Or will there be a generic "commoner" portrait or two?

Damn nice. So good you'd want insurance for them.

They look fantastic. The portraits really have character in them. Rended 3d models I presume?

I'd swap their places, the way it's now implies that the portrait is yours and not Feng's.
Seconded, and the gold looks out of place as well. But whatever you do, get these great portraits in the game.

Very nice. Especially like the first. Hire the man, definitely.
