I'm a broke student so if it comes out around Christmas (this year or next) I'll get my mother to buy me the boxed version. If not I'll get myself the download version (I use windows).

Vince would you be prepared to offer some kind of discount on the boxed version for people who bought the download version and want to upgrade at a later date? You wouldn't have to take the whole difference off the price, $20 or even $15 would still make it worthwhile. This way people who are perhaps a little uncertain about spending $50 on an indie game (or don't have the money on release) could get the proper boxed version if they end up falling in love with AoD, and you wouldn't lose anything by doing it.

Yes. Full discount, i.e. if you buy the download version for $25 and later want to get the boxed version, if you pay another $25 (plus shipping) and that's it.

How about pre-orders? Are you planning to take any and when?

How about barter? I'll trade two used leather jackets and a sword. It's been repaired a couple of times by the blacksmith of... what was the name of the place... uh, whatever. Nevertheless, you can still use it. As a matter of fact, I killed a couple of people with it just last week and.......

For once we get a game with evil options that let you play malevolent character not just an obnoxious cunt. Happy times.

Awesome. Unless the game comes out around Christmas or my birthday, I'll probably go for that option.

We all know about the reliability of polls, but Windows is clearly winning. Those of you that voted for Linux or Macintosh, you must spread the word about this game!

I'd like to take a moment here and address the issue of expectations. There is nothing revolutionary or evolutionary about AoD. I hope it will be a good game, nothing else.

Boxed version? For Linux? I though there would be neither of those.

Anyway, I'll buy Windows download first. If the game is good, I'll probably buy boxed Linux version afterward.

Boxed edition, Windows. Probably on the day of release (something I have never done before).
