Widescreen sucks. It's only better for movies, as you'll use the whole screen. In games, in most games at least, widescreen only cuts your field of vision (top and bottom).

I was thinking about a wide screen monitor - but I never had one... So why are you thinking about it then? I was thinking about it because now there are many wide screen monitors and I want to know how good are they in viewing other things then movies. I am sorry to know that I won't get the full experience playing your game in wide screen , I guess I'll stick to the regular LCD 22Inch ones  . |

I'd like to take a moment here and address the issue of expectations. There is nothing revolutionary or evolutionary about AoD. I hope it will be a good game, nothing else. |

The question is how would you like to use those sound effects ? If it's only in Windows sounds (like starting windows or logging off) that's not a problem. But if you would like to use it on some other projects that could be problematic. |

Sorry , but there were games in the past that offered this. You could get all (I think) the sound effects of Duke3D and Warcraft2, I remember making a Duke3D theme on my old Win98 box back at the time... |

Actually, I don't mind random name generator. Darklands had those old German names - I liked them a lot. Many games have this feature.
Any suggestions for the names?

I think most people who know of this game want to support the game anyways, so piracy shouldn't be such a big deal with indies. I sure as hell will even be trying make my friends buy it.  Disclaimer: I might just be bsing here, I have no idea if Eschalon / Vogel games had this problem. |
