During my 50+ hours of ME2 I had that floating bug at least 10 times.
As I said, I can't even say how many times my game crashed. Once every two hours maybe? Can be frustrating when it happens in the end of a mission BEFORE you have a chance to save your progress.

Quote
Whoa, what do you mean by "damaged"?  That's pretty scary, I can't have that happen with my 240 programs and no backup.
I mean after one crash Windows was fixing my C-drive, deleting some "masseff" files allegedly corrupting other files etc. Nothing was lost, as far as I know. Took some time to clean up though.

"when it happens in the end of a mission BEFORE you have a chance to save your progress. "

That's weird since the game auto saves after almost every major battle or event.

As for me, I had the floating bug once. A reload cleaned that up. L0LZ

Some of the convo interrupts are incredibly awesome, though, particularly the Renegade one on Mordin's loyalty mission, which has to be my personal favorite.
Agreed. Anyway. I finished my first  Smile playthrough...

I'm already playing through a second time, after having forced myself to play through mass effect 1 again, and the differences I'm seeing based on a second play through are rather interesting.  I actually chose to save the council this time, and while humans still aren't too popular, they seem to be much better regarded than when I told the fleet to ignore the council and take out Sovereign (at the time, I wasn't sure if saving the council and defeating Sovereign were mutually exclusive or not, so I picked the latter).  I did like some of the Renegade interrupts, like kicking a guy out of a window or stabbing a mercenary mechanic in the back with one of his tools.  Shooting bad guys mid-speech is also cool, and has yet to get old.

Just finished the game. Took 48 hours (not counting reload; but 10 horus could be taken off due to massive backtracking and overdoing the world scanning).

End mission was awesome though it has some faults that annoy me. I got everyone through a live but I wa still impressed how the drama was done as there were times where I was crossing my fingers wondering if the person would pull through. Good stuff.

I still loathe Jack but I couldn't help but laugh the way she delivered her favorite word at the end of her loyalty mission.

And, Legend is awesome. If what he say about the geth is to be believed, absolutely sweet.

Great game but with major faults....

Don't you mean Legion (we are legion for we are many)?

Yeah, just screwed up. That's what you get when you have a characetr in your part for 2-4 hours in a nearly 50 hour game. L0L Even though his name isn't even that ahrd to remember. Legion. There.

Legion should have definitely shown up much, much sooner. Hopefully there will be some character-centric DLC, or at least plenty of lines for the characters in DLC.

Moving on to another topic, am I the only one amused by the fact that humanity's big cultural contributions to the galaxy are techno nightclub music and finger quotes?

And a good thing too. Just think of all the poor Asari dancers that had to gyrate to Elcor classical music before humanity burst on the scene.

(I got the game after reading the impressions in this thread, as a gentleman I admit that I was wrong and that it is a good game).

Good. Now report to the Bioware forums and post in the thread of your respective Space Girlfriend. Make sure to crank the creepy up to 11. I want to shudder every time I glance in your direction, maggot!

I mean, seriously, I liked the romances, but the level of devotion that some of those fanboys/fangirls display...  Confused

Yeah, no doubt. And,. thatgentleman, is why BIO does romances. What's funny is that romances are like a very very small part of the game time. L0LZ

Also, I ahve to say the collector ship is probably one of the coolest areas I've ever seen in a game when it comes to atmosphere. That was easily the best part of the game as far as that's concern.

@Gregorus Prime

Sir! I would rather put sharp things under my fingernails. Sir!  Salute

I imagine those threads are very creepy and reading them is like being punched in the solar plexus of your faith in humanity.

Also, yes. The collector ship is very nice.

What I find more puzzling are the people who are angry with BioWare because a certain crew member can be romanced. I thought the point of it being optional was that if you don't like that character, you don't pursue the romance with them? Do we need a 300 page thread about how  quarians have weak immune systems, really?

Agreed about the Collector ship, though. My only gripe is that the Collectors were fun enemies to fight and I would have loved to have more missions involving them, even side missions. I got sick of fighting mercenaries pretty quickly. At least they were varied enough to make the fights themselves fun, but come on, does the Blood Pack have to be behind every petty evil in the galaxy?

Yeah, the same happened to me with all the mercenaries. Couldn't be some more generic pirates/smugglers without affiliation to a mercenary group? I found it a little jarring that you didn't know nothing about them in the first game and now they are everywhere. Sure, it's a different geographical region, but still, some more variety would have been nice.

yeah, mercenaries were definitely overused. in the vast emptiness of cosmos there is room for more cliched enemies.
the collectors were supposed to be creatures very rare, even mythical, so using them in subquests wouldn't be such a great idea. i agree that they should be more covered, though.
